An initiative is being conducted by eight leading companies in the agribusiness and telecommunications sectors and seeks to provide open connectivity to Brazil’s agricultural regions.

ConectarAGRO aims to promote open comprehensive technologies to automation solutions in the field, connecting machines and people, thus offering more freedom and flexibility to farmers who use these technologies. This concept is ConectarAGRO’s differential in relation to other technological solutions available in the market, which are currently close, limited and bring greater insecurity to farmers who use them, making it difficult to adopt them on a large scale.

The farmer will be able to take full advantage of the digital and automated resources available today for precision farming and have access to a multitude of new products and services enabled by connectivity, thus being able to optimize their businesses. Each company that integrates this initiative will contribute with its valuable expertise and market experience to help create a favorable ecosystem and improve or develop conditions for connectivity in the field with ConectarAGRO. But there will be no joint development, production or marketing of equipment, products or services, as the companies will continue to operate independently, without any combination of economic activities and without sharing any risks or results.

In this way, ConectarAGRO will be an important player in the Brazilian agribusiness to further increase its competitiveness in the international scenario.

The diversity, competence and common interest of the companies involved in an unprecedented initiative of combining efforts creates the right environment to help understand the connectivity problems in Brazilian countryside areas, from its different angles, creating an effective strategy to solve it, benefiting the country’s agribusiness.

The structure for implementing this initiative is being defined based on all legal practices and needs in force in Brazil.
